Join the Carolina Loggers Association

The Carolina Loggers Association exists for the people who make North Carolina's forest products industry possible.

Every morning before daylight, thousands of hardworking men and women head into the woods, climb into a truck, step onto a log deck, open a repair shop, or begin another day at a mill. Some own businesses. Some work for one. Some work alone. But every one of them plays a part in keeping North Carolina growing.

The CLA was built to represent those people.

Whether you're a logger, truck driver, equipment operator, mechanic, mill employee, consulting forester, or just beginning your career in the forest products industry, this is your association.

Behind every successful logger is an entire network of businesses and partners that keep the industry moving. Equipment dealers, repair shops, suppliers, insurance companies, consultants, mills, and service providers all have a stake in the success of North Carolina's logging industry. The Carolina Loggers Association brings those people and businesses together because a stronger industry benefits everyone.

As a member, you become part of a unified voice working to protect and strengthen our profession through advocacy, education, safety, and collaboration. Together, we promote professionalism, improve workplace safety, build partnerships across the industry, and ensure our profession has a respected voice when decisions are made in Raleigh and Washington.

Your membership supports year-round legislative representation, relationships with state agencies, and partnerships that solve real challenges facing our industry. It also helps ensure that future generations have the opportunity to build careers in North Carolina's forest products industry.

Over the years, the Carolina Loggers Association has helped secure meaningful victories for our members, including:

  • Restoration of the sales tax exemption on logging equipment.
  • Increased legal weight tolerance from 80,000 to 90,000 pounds.
  • Collaborative safety initiatives with the North Carolina Department of Labor (OSHA), the North Carolina Forestry Association, and Forestry Mutual Insurance Company.
  • Strong working relationships with the North Carolina Highway Patrol, North Carolina Forest Service, Department of Environmental Quality, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, TEAM Safe Trucking, the American Loggers Council, and many other industry partners.
  • Continued advocacy for transportation improvements, workforce development, safety, and responsible forest management.

None of these accomplishments happened because of one company or one individual. They happened because people across our industry chose to stand together.

Whether you're on the landing, behind the wheel, in the shop, at the mill, in the office, or supporting the industry in another way, there's a place for you in the Carolina Loggers Association.

One Industry. One Voice. One Future.
